Hengqin Water Plant
The project base is located on the west bank of the Hengqin New District in Zhuhai City, and the Hengqin New District is located in the east of Zhuhai City. As one of the three pilot free trade zones in Guangdong, it is not only a key area for Guangdong to explore a new model of cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, but also in the context of the Greater Bay Area. Compared with Nansha in Guangzhou and Qianhai in Shenzhen, it also has unique geographical advantages (close to Macau and direct access to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge) and development space (large area and sparse population).
After researching and analyzing relevant benchmarking cases at home and abroad, we hope that the base can become a fascinating new city landmark from a municipal infrastructure in the future, and proposed the vision of the plan: “An urban destination that can experience water fun , An urban experimental field for displaying and innovative applications of renewable water resources, and a district-level water cultural destination on the west bank of Hengqin.”
Here in the future, visitors can appreciate the “water theme” experience integrating landscape space, innovative industries, and culture and art. At the same time, the connection between Hengqin Mountain and the ecological wetland also makes the base a sustainable ecological city landscape.
