Since 2014 we have been involved in the planning of the Royal Seaport's waterfront neighbourhood of Kolkajen. While the plan continues to be refined through dialogue with developers the important infrastructure around the future neighbourhood is beginning to take shape. In the autumn of 2021 the construction of Hjorthagen tunnel will start, connecting Ropsten metro station, Dianavägen, and Rådjursstigen.
The tunnel will be used by Stockholm Exergi as a replacement for the existing one that will be out of use due to the development of new housing blocks in the Kolkajen neighborhood. It is expected that the tunnel will be opened in 2023, its entrance framed with beautifully perforated corten steel sheets.
