Mandaworks, CADG + Chinese local partner VRAP selected for Jiangwan New Town in Chongqin City

This week we will start sketching on a conceptual plan and urban design strategies for the new city of Jiangwan, China. Our team was selected to work together with our Chinese collaborators CADG and local partner VRAP on developing this new core area for the Wanzhou region. We are grateful to be picked out of a competitive pool of 34 teams from 11 countries.

A massive strategic study area stretches over 58 square kilometers. The design area is split into six zones covering 28 square kilometers in total. The goal of the project is to create a city that will harmoniously blend with the surrounding landscape, incorporating hilly topography and connecting to the Yangtze River.
