We are incredibly excited to announce that since the autumn we have been working with the Toronto Zoo’s staff and community to develop their new Master Concept Plan. The comprehensive plan will provide a blueprint for the evolution of the zoo over the next decade. We are fortunate to be collaborating with the best in class on such an expansive, complex, and multi-faceted project, including Ralph Applebaum Associates (New York), Re:Public Urbanism (Montreal), Town Square (New York), and Momentum (Montreal).
The Toronto Zoo is a notorious, well-visited, and well-loved space unique within Toronto, nestled in the Rouge River Valley yet just a stone’s throw from the bustling downtown core. We are thrilled to be involved in rethinking the site to better serve the many species who call the zoo home, as well as to improve the experience for guests and facilitate and showcase the world-class research and animal care that is already happening onsite!
We look forward to sharing more as the Master Concept Plan progresses, but in the meantime keep an eye on the Toronto Zoo website to be a part of the community consultation!
