MW Team grows in Montreal and Shanghai

While the MW Stockholm office keeps on growing, so do its Canadian and Chinese counterparts! Join us in welcoming yet another two new Mandaworkers this week - Yingying Zhu and Marlet Padilla.

Yingying Zhu is an urban designer based in Shanghai. She obtained her Bachelor Degree at Chongqing University in China and graduated with distinction from her Master’s programme at The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College of London. Throughout her professional career, Yingying has participated in projects of varying typologies and scales, including science cities, city service core areas, panda shelters, resort areas and waterfront industrial renewal. She enjoys exploring new places through travelling and photography and is interested in how cities and architecture are represented in video games. For her work in the field of video game architecture, Yingying was awarded the Bronze Prize at the Bartlett B-Pro Show.

Marlet Padilla is a Mexican urban designer based in Montreal. She has been living in Canada for the past fourteen years and is a graduate of the Environmental Design at UQAM in Montreal (Bachelor’s Degree, 2016) and Urban Design at University of Montreal (Master’s Degree, 2020). Marlet previously worked as an urban designer at Vivre en Ville and Brodeur Frenette. She is passionate about exploring the context of urban analysis and diagnostics and the potentials of different environments as well as studying aspects of mobility and transportation. In her free time, Marlet loves spending time outdoors and enjoys the temporality of passing seasons - her source of inspiration for designing year-round attractive urban landscapes.

Welcome Yingying and Marlet!
