Project Description:

Fisksätra Entré forms the northern gateway to Fisksätra, a Million Program neighbourhood in Nacka known for its proximity to nature and water. The project transforms a series of surface parking areas into a new urban frontage that strengthens the link between the neighbourhood, the station, and the surrounding landscape.

The plan adds around 375 new homes, a preschool, and an elderly home within seven compact blocks. These additions complete the existing modernist structure, defining clearer streets and courtyards while improving mobility, orientation, and access to local amenities.

The new blocks introduce a human-scaled urban edge where active ground floors and green courtyards contribute to everyday social life. The landscape design focuses on microclimate, comfort, and inclusivity — creating sheltered meeting spaces and enhancing ecological value within the existing framework.

Materiality and form tie the new additions to the spatial language of Fisksätra while introducing variation and warmth through natural materials and diverse planting. Together, the interventions form a cohesive and welcoming environment that supports social sustainability and strengthens Fisksätra’s identity as a connected and liveable part of Nacka.
